HIGHER GROUND
My dance card has been very full just lately.
And I am being reminded that I have a relatively small capacity.
By that I mean I can only process a small amount of anything within a given period.
Anything means both good and bad.
And we are experiencing the impact of change I believe at an accelerated and increasingly uncomfortable pace. It is all becoming too much…at least for me. I’ll wager for many others as well.
The pipes of clarity are now overwhelmed with information or energy that is not flowing freely (weighed down with imposed selfish conditions) and the supporting infrastructure is being stretched under the increasing pressure.
Watch out.
I mean you can’t put 3000w into a 100w light bulb. Bmmfff! Neither can you willfully ignore seeing an approaching tsunami of either the good or the bad without at some point choosing to move to higher ground. Something’s got to give way or make way for something else.
Oh you can move to the lower ground too and be swept away in the foment.
So it is a time for self management on a degree that certainly most inhabitants of Western nations are not familiar. In the West we are actually programmed to believe that we are entitled to what we are used to getting. Think again. Our expectations of life are unrealistic and are being pulled into line by our own disconnection from that life. A correction is in play.
We’ve lost sight almost completely of the salient truth that we are lucky to be able to take a breath in and a breath out.
Nature is making us look at ourselves and many are found…wanting. That is wanting more of everything to fill that emptiness inside. We are being pushed in the direction of sustainable living practices on every imaginable level you might think of. And the pain is unbearable for some. There is a fear of missing out in the wind and a blind grasping gathering momentum.
We could ask ourselves what might that grasping be for?
And sure if you are into materialism one way or another we will be made to surrender some of the things that we are used to getting. Much of that stuff is complete and utter garbage anyway (excess baggage). But we don’t see it that way…not with our present programming.
Don’t think by putting a government in place that promises to feed your material appetite that that is the solution. That might just increase the absence of our peace of mind markedly so. Someone always pays for our bloated mores.
Some people are modest, fair and equitable livers and others are just gross gutsers who lose themselves in anything and everything that this world can provide. They give back nought.
We need to start living balanced lives on a planet that is totally out of balance.
Either we correct ourselves or nature will do the job for us.
I’m not saying anything here that we don’t already know.
But we do so not want to face it. That is the reason for a good part of the pain being experienced by many presently.
So where’s that higher ground?
