⚪️🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣⚫️ NEW DIRECTION   Ed. No. 144 - LEMMINGS OR INDIVIDUALS

YOU ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS

Graham Chapman as "Brian of Nazareth" from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"
Watch the 'individuals' speech.

YES, WE'RE ALL INDIVIDUALS

We are so programmed we aren't even aware of it.
We think we are free when all of the time we are prisoners to our own programmed ignorances. We spend a lifetime of attaching ourselves to all sorts of other peoples ideas, values, beliefs and stupidities.
This only fuels the creation of an ego idea of ourselves.
Artificial Intelligence.

The Australian Federal Government has made a wise move banning those under 16 years of age from certain internet sites. Perhaps they should do the same for adults because the Internet if not life in general has become like being awash in a tempest of listen to me, try me, buy me. So much of it is used car salesman's self serving blather.

And yes this blog is expressing my views as well. But I’m not out to sell you anything.
These blogs are "explainers".

I trust what I am saying but it is your care to listen to your deeper self for what is meaningful to you. I'm starting to understand that it all takes real guts to walk your own path. Taking on the fullest responsibility for your own life is perhaps the hardest challenge a human can accept.
It's much easier to believe someone else's view.
But this only helps to tie us in knots of our own making. Your life has to be real for yoo.

And being totally responsible for your own life is really hard work. I am failing left, right and centre presently. But too in some areas I am successful. Life is not black and white. It is every colour of the rainbow and also it can become every monotonal shade of grey from off white to black... if you let it be so.

To look inside human beings today would be to find both a party and also a war in full flight between the light and the dark. It's happening at the moment across the planet inside too many of us it seems. Increasingly so.

Wars are generated when too many individuals who make up the whole surrender to the dark. The ignorance spills out into this dimension. If we are taking responsibility for getting our own house* in order then we are one of the ones turning the potential of war into a party of self celebration.

The fact that countries are being encouraged presently to increase their spending on arming themselves is one of the very things I am talking about when I talk about being a lemming. (In Australia a sheep analogy might be more relevant.)

An individual will see that all we are doing is funding our own world extinction by increasing Defence budgets. We are feeding our own fear when those funds can be better spent on really necessary creative things like health and education worldwide.
Those who are lemmings/sheep just nod and take in another mouthful of hay. "Baa, I dunno that's just the way it is". Hardly a bleat of protest. Sheep, sheep, sheep. Lemmings, lemmings, lemmings.

And I'm not advocating taking to the streets.
Don't we have enough of that alright already?

We need to be more creative with our protestations. I mean a 'flash mob' can still express protest….but creativity is involved. We are too programmed for hate and fear. Find the creative energy to actually contribute something rather than only taking peoples time, attention and road space. Humanity is over all of the negative. We're experts at complaint but creating, well that's another story from some other dimension for far too many.

The gay community got it right by putting on a creative Mardi Gras rather than it being a protest march fuelled by anger.

SO HOW MUCH DO WE VALUE OUR OWN LIVES?

It is up to you to make a choice whether I am over reacting or saying something valid here.
Yes it is your choice and your responsibility. This is what I am talking about. Lemmings or individuals?

I've said before a number of times that I write this blog for myself to hold up a mirror to where I'm at.
That is confronting to do.
This blog is not here for you it's here for me to help form clarity for myself.
If you happen to get something from these writings then well and good.

I can't help but think of that wonderful slice of life from Monty Python's hit movie "Life of Brian". Brian frustratingly calls out to the crowd "You are all individuals" and they all call back together "We're all individuals"
Then one single voice is heard to say "I'm not" (an individual).
Of course he's the only individual in the crowd.
(Or is he?)

This is where so many lives have come to. We are like sheep being corralled by one new fad or the other. One political party or the other. One view of something or the other. Hopping on someone or others cart. Having to look or be a certain way to get the mobs approval.
It's actually pretty pathetic.

You have to be brave to walk your own path. And that means facing our own fears.
I admire people who can do that. Those people naturally stand out.
I'll repeat once again it's all very very hard work you naughty boys and girls.
Is that why so few take up the challenge?
Easier to blame someone or something else other than investigate oneself eh!

Why can't we think and act for ourselves and form our own informed views and opinions? Sure, that risks being alienated from the mob.

Think and feel for yourself.
But the truth is we need to learn to listen to those who do know amidst all of the dross.
That requires a certain clarity of mind on our part.
So many paradoxes to life! Neville

addendum
*Maybe HOME should be the theme of my artworks for a while?
We certainly need to give more attention to what's going on inside our own houses.
i.e. Our own lives.
A home is a far more comfortable place than a house.
I've heard it said (and I agree) that if we all minded our own business and sorted out our own backyards there would be far less misery across our Planet. - N.
