BIG BROTHER HAS SPOKEN

"Big Brother"

TIME TO GET REAL

Had to smile at the article (“Bullock flags five years of slow decay in grim warning” Sydney Morning Herald News Dec. 16) describing Michele Bullock’s (Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia) “approach to communicating with the public - by trying to explain difficult economic concepts as if she were talking to her Mother.”

At least she’s trying to explain the tortuously complex impossible to the everyday person.

Keeping it all in the family here’s a friendly big brother explanation of what’s happening with our economics.

We’ve been living beyond our means for far too long and have become addicted to an excessive way of life. The “slow decay in grim warning” is simply Nature restoring a sensible sustainable balance of give and take. It’s all out of whack at the moment. Of course our spoiled conditioning doesn’t see it that way.
Our own programming sees what is happening economically and reads it as pain. But it’s really about us starting to appreciate a simpler way of life and understanding ourselves better. Actually learning to be kinder individually. Or that’s what it can be if we were to let it be so. But we’re greedy because we’ve been trained like performing seals to think more of everything (including premium size muscles) will make us happy. Look again it isn’t.

That is a dose of reality that most don't want to hear?
Letting go of our fixed idea of entitlement and embracing a more humane way of life doesn’t need to be painful unless we want to see it as “decay” and “grim”.

Big Brother has spoken.

The illusion is wonderful as seen here showcased above but and yeah we need to learn to celebrate life.

You know that's the thing that allows us to breathe. Our priorities need adjusting.  Neville

NOTE:
Sorry if I sound swaggering, blasΓ© or even preachy here but I'm tired of seeing human ignorance laid on with a trowel.
We are no longer listening to our own common sense.
In the process we're creating our own self inflicted misery when we could be celebrating what is really important to us.
Neither am I innocent of getting caught up in all of the illusionary gumpf that we call a "lifestyle" or "way of life".
And it certainly is hard work trying to get back on a sensible and clear pathway towards something better.

But then I'm learning too to stop trying to change the world and to have a good laugh with myself.
Terribly boring to be SO serious.
But I am going be serious for the next two blog entries here in any case. N.
