- FISHIN' FOR LOVE

SEEKING “IT”

FISHIN' FOR LOVE

So many people fish outside of themselves for 'love'.

It's the prime motivating force that gets us out of bed every day.

In everything we do and say we search for "it".

The very reason that the world is in the state it is

is because we think we are going to find "it" outside ourselves.

We're tripping over ourselves to try and find it

in a bigger slice of the cake.

And people call "it" by so many names.

Money, fame, the girl or guy with the blue eyes,

the job that is going to deliver for me,

the achievement in winning that race, a particular belief system.

There's plenty of ways we "think" we are going to find love.

And many don't call the thing they are looking for "love".

It might be 'peace' it might be 'happiness' it might be 'joy' it might be called 'the answer'.

Love is only another name for 'it'.

What people will do for it on the outside at times is unbelievable,

sometimes even unspeakable.

The never ending unconscious and unrequited quest to have “it”

has humanity tying itself into knots of unhappiness.

A person blaming another for not fulfilling imagined dreams

or mind created expectations of the world and those around us

only creates disappointment and trouble.

Is this "false trail" starting to make us a tired and disconnected caricature of what humans are meant to be? We are meant to be human 'beings' rather than human 'doings' aren't we?

But the journey begins on the inside

to find what most are looking for on the outside.

Love is the very thing that keeps us alive.

Know it and you've found your own enlightenment.

YOO are the only other friend you truly need.

It is a puzzle as to why we are not all

consciously on the journey within inside? - Neville Williams
