- Quote from the Synopsis of the Artwork "OUR FUTURE: STOP, LOOK & LEAP"
I've been learning some harsh lessons about real leaders more recently. I've come to understand why real leaders, and I'm talking about leaders who actually do care,
can often appear single minded with their vision to move forward.
They have a job to do and they are doing it
even if they upset the out dated and indulged/indulgent status quo.
They are going for it. And if you're not with it you're out of it.
That truly does ruffle some peoples feathers.
Yoo can hear the cry "What about me it isn't fair I've had enough and I want my share".
It's being screamed from the rafters as I write these words.
That's an outdated attitude to carry on our overloaded backs in this Brave New World of ours.
Real leaders have to take no prisoners (or baggage)
if they want to achieve a fairer and kinder society.
They have to keep moving forward staunchly otherwise they will fail.
It appears ruthless but it can also be understood as an expression of bravery on their part.
We should not feel forgotten or left behind if we cannot keep up.
Even people who have held what might be described as "privileged" positions or places in governments, businesses, structures, organisations, groups or families that feel an entitlement will be dismissed or set loose if they can't fit into the "new direction".
Lift your game and if you can't then
having the good grace to step aside is the right thing to do.
But those ideas of what we think we deserve get us every time.
That's commonly known as ego. The fantasy part of who you have made yourself to be.
Agreed it is hard to let go but these are the times
for doing just that.
It's a time for really looking hard in the mirror.
Truly when people look back most will say what was all the fuss about?
We were just growing up.
Pictured above are the three wise harlequins
and pioneer of reconciliation Bennelong
all featured in the major artwork about re-Connection
I have talked about over the past weeks.
(link below to read synopsis)
Each of the three harlequins represents an actual person that I would describe as a 'real leader' who suffered at the hands of mediocre bureaucratic thinking of their contemporaries and larger publics of the times. They each paid a price for their real and actual leadership.
You'll need to read the synopsis of the artwork to find out
who each of the harlequins represents.
Bennelong's role here is that of a reconciling figure or healer.

re-Connection is the clarity to see,
speak, hear and feel good.

FOOTNOTE:
Trump and Biden have had their time.
Trump represents the disenfranchised and Biden represents the outdated status quo.
Americans need to dig to find youthful leadership from within their borders.
Those with youthful spirit need to be given a go.
Do the Americans have it within themselves to grow forward
or is curmudgeonly self interest going to bring down our Western Civilisation?
We all need creative leadership with a kinder youthful outlook not just the Americans.
