STOP, LOOK & LEAP

Last week I travelled to New Zealand (a place I do love) where some of the Maori people are not happy and in their own way they are voicing this discontent. This visit I saw first hand an expression of that discord.

But then to be frank who is happy today?

The current Maori discord is but only one expression in our world where the old and the new are clashing without a reconcilable vision taking root. We've lost sight of that big picture
Paul Keating used to talk about in the far off halcyon days of the 1980's.

We want "IT" now and we're not getting it.
Nature certainly has its own peculiar and boggling way with things. I mean if we better understood our place in the whole scheme of things then we would truly better understand what the heck is going on presently.
What a shitstorm!

We collectively in Australia more recently experienced our own failure of a bigger picture reconciliation when the First Nations Referendum tanked. We could navel gaze, pontificate, get outraged or mull over that reality ad infinitum but that's not going to progress the collective ignorance that still prevails.

And there are those who will continue to navel gaze because too many humans are locked steadfast in their mental programming. It's getting us nowhere...fast.
It's driving some people crazy.

Too many are locked into being unhappy.

Letting go of that security blanket for them is not an option.

When all of the brouhaha is distilled down all we just want is peace and happiness in our lives but it appears standing back and looking at that big picture human beings are tiring ourselves out walking round in ever diminishing circles becoming more lost by the day.

It is not the old and the new that we need to be reconciling but a new direction of balance and self understanding of our own individual and collective making.

Clearly we haven't got a clue who we are and that's where the energy needs to be focussed. The New Direction is self discovery and the acceptance of the responsibility by each individual for that journey.

The fear and emptiness that people are experiencing is a product of our own disconnection from ourselves. Let go of the security blanket. It's smothering YOO.

Did we think we could do a better job than life?
We couldn't. But facing that seems to be just the hardest thing to do.

John Lennon said in his song "Beautiful Boy" that "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans."  We live too often in memories of the past or our fears about the future. This robs us of our present.

It's good to have a plan forward but integral to that is knowing yourself firstly otherwise we just end up walking in those ever diminishing circles lost in our own self manufactured state of disconnection.

The theme of our times is "Reconnection to our larger world environment, to each other but most importantly firstly to ourselves".

A little bit of love and kindness goes a long way.
But we have to dig for it.  - Neville ☺︎

Such a beautiful song written for his son.

BEAUTIFUL BOY (Darling Boy) by John Lennon
Close your eyes
Have no fear
The monster's gone
He's on the run
And your daddy's here
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Before you go to sleep
Say a little prayer
Every day, in every way
It's getting better and better
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Out on the ocean, sailing away
I can hardly wait
To see you come of age
But I guess we'll both just have to be patient
'Cause it's a long way to go
A hard row to hoe
Yes, it's a long way to go
But in the meantime
Before you cross the street
Take my hand
Life is what happens to you
While you're busy making other plans
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Before you go to sleep
Say a little prayer
Every day, in every way
It's getting better and better
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful boy
Darling, darling, darling
Darling Sean
Good night, Sean
See you in the morning
Bright and early
