PATIENCE

Patience. 

We need it by the bucket loads today.

We expect so much to happen so quickly and forthrightly so that we set ourselves up for disappointment.

Where are we rushing to in such a great hurry? 

This dessert took at least 24 visits to and from the fridge allowing each of the rainbow coloured jellies to set for at least four hours at a time.

I managed to make eight desserts from this batch and catch people by surprise with these over the top servings (so gay). One recipient was overwhelmed saying that "No one had ever made her anything before". 

She was so very appreciative and genuinely so.

Her genuine appreciation was a wonderful gift to me.

We want the good feeling but it requires sometimes infinite patience for things to be done properly.

This takes time.

An excellent world requires excellent participation.

We all want our 'just desserts'. 

And some at this time are receiving what they do so rightly deserve.  

Nature though doesn't appear to be in a discriminating mood? - Neville ☺︎

RECIPE INGREDIENTS

- Patience & time.

- 6 x 500g packets of different coloured jelly mixes.

- Gelatine to make the jelly firm.

- Thin slices of plum pudding (for Christmas time versions)  

or your choice of fruit for any other time during Summer.

- Thickened custard.

- I used Kapiti (NZ) White Chocolate and Raspberry Ripple ice cream. 

(NZ Dairy is just the best. I'm a cheer leader for much that is NZ.)

- Strawberries shucked to top it off.

Settle back with the smallest spoon you can find and ENJOY every mouthful.
