Interesting article by Sean Kelly appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald recently about how our world has devalued artists. Elsewhere I have also too read that Artists, to quote some wise person, apparently are 'the prophets of our time'? 

Isn't it all a choice for what we all want to be?

OK, well, if as some believe that artists are the prophets of our times then here's my artist's reading on what's coming as far as politics in this Country and beyond is concerned. 

The major parties are not going to exist within ten years. We are not getting the best representation from and for our community and the political parties are falling foul to vested interests, muck raking distraction and short term thinking. They are tired and bereft of fresh ideas. There are too many career politicians who have little life experience in the real world.

There is no real wholistic National Vision in place. We're like a ship without a rudder.

Politicians know vision costs on many levels and they won't rock the boat if they can avoid doing so. Doesn't it have something to do with finding guts and telling people there is a cost involved in time, energy and money for creating the world we want to be part of over and above what we have come to expect?

Politicians priority is to get re-elected. 

Our community interest is to be the best managed that we can be. 

They are failing us. We are failing ourselves.

A new political management system will emerge where gifted individuals 

who can co-operatively work with others will come from a reformation.

This will also happen on the world stage.

The likes of the Donald Trump's and Vladimir Putin's will be replaced by leaders who are actually given the support of their citizens. Sadly this "maturing" will be brought about by the results that our own collective ignorance is fuelling presently.

We want someone else to solve our own problems for us and, well, frankly that is unsustainable. Anyhow, it's not a politician's job or within the skill set for ANY politician to make YOU happy. Nor is it anyone else's job to make you happy. 

It's your job to make YOO happy.

Our values system is going to change ultimately by what we learn about ourselves. 

This is what will evolve our quality of life.

If we don't want to see more of China hovering in our front yard (or arriving on Bondi Beach) we'll decide what we want to be and invite the Chinese to join in on our Party. Not their Party.

That means believing in ourselves to make our own future happen. 

That's work on all our part to discover ourselves. 

And we need to do these things in our lives because we want to... not because we have to.

Think about it.

Be assured that the status quo of testosterone driven bully boys and assorted riff raff of the mediocre won't go without a fight. It's built into their ego driven self serving natures. 

They are run by fear. A very potent force. Courage is stronger though. - Neville ☺︎

No more than five minutes after penning the previous blog I happened to walk past a newsagent's and the headline on the front page of "The Australian Newspaper" read "National 'nightmare' of teals on a Green pitch" February 26, 2025). The Editor is of course screaming from the rooftops about how bad this will all be for us. But then they will always take the conservative view - they're conservative. They like the status quo the way it is. Of course there'll be pain. Always is when we change things. Our way of life is not delivering us the happiness we are seeking. Mother Nature is taking charge!

Dear Editor,

LITTLE BOYS WITH BIG TOYS

Your article reporting China’s announcement of live fire exercises in the Tasman between Australia and New Zealand prompts the question why does masculine energy so often have to prove itself?

(“Jets diverted amid China navy games in Tasman” Herald 22 Feb)

If it’s not Putin or Trump or China’s assertion of dominance it is some other penis pumped excuse to belittle others. I mean why?

It’s got to ultimately be put down to not understanding themselves.

What’s the bet that we are now passing through the last hurrah of this Manboy dinosaur behaviour before a new age arrives. Little boys with big toys. This behaviour now belongs in the history books of when humans were lost in a struggle to find their own value or self worth.

A balance of masculine and feminine energies is the goal. It starts with accepting what you find when you look in the mirror.

Masculine energy whether emanating from men or women needs to be placed on an equal keel (with the feminine).

Surely it’s all got something to do with growing up!

Opinion

The current Federal Government in Australia has been taking a steady course through rough waters during its term. They have been largely sensible and responsible in their running of the Country if lacking colour. For the electorate to move hastily and change Government out of anger would be unwise. If you think the others can do better (at this time) then I'd urge people to take a second look. 

For the first time I am seeing fear in peoples eyes which is a very new experience here in Australia. While I stand by what I see ahead keeping a steady hand on the wheel at a very uncertain time is sensible. But are we sensible?  

Change brought about out of a foundation of anger or fear is a danger only to ourselves. 

A real and solid visionary plan needs to emerge alright but under steady hands. 👋
