Walter Burley Griffin Greenhouse Pyramid

This pavilion/meeting place is located

at the highest point within the Sanctuary (Brickpit).

It is given the title of Walter Burley Griffin the outstanding American Architect

of the City of Canberra. The Pavilion features as a fitting tribute in its design

a crystal pyramid. Walter Burley Griffin wanted to have a pyramid

crowning his design for Canberra.

An echo of this can be seen in Australia's Federal Parliament House Flagpole.

During "Australia's JAMBAROO®" this Pavilion would be used as a summit environment

for the United Nations to meet and would at most other times have the dual-purpose function

of also being a theatre to educate people on the role and impact

that the United Nations makes in the World.  - Neville ☺︎
