THERE A MANY DIFFERENT VISIONS
This is a reprinted edited version of an original letter (See below). Different versions of the same content were also sent to the Editors of "The Daily Telegraph" and "The Australian Newspaper". Interestingly but not unexpectedly "The Australian's" same day (Anzac Day 2025) block of letters received on this subject were headed up with the banner heading "Coalition the only one's getting serious about defence".
A Conservative outlook for the conservatives.
A Conservative outlook for the conservatives.
But who is getting serious about peace?
Where is the declared overarching vision that we can all understand and consciously share in the responsibility towards approaching the light on the hill?
Or are we going to continue to go round in circles?
Or are we going to continue to go round in circles?
Sooner or later we are going to have to face truth within inside ourselves. Why is this so hard?
Too many are not seeing clearly. - Neville ☺︎

From: NEVILLE WILLIAMSSubject: GIVE PEACE A CHANCEDate: 24 April 2025 at 9:03:37 am AESTTo: The Editor THE SYDNEY MORNING HERALDDear Editor,GIVE PEACE A CHANCEPeter Dutton’s “Defence Vision” of 2.5% of GDP towards defence spending makes a person ask just where we are heading as a society? If we make something historically we humans have a track record of tending to use it. Anzac Day reminds us War is an horrific thing with ultimately no winners.
If only we would commit to making better choices and diffuse our pent up energies into more creative war preventative projects. When the major parties start to genuinely talk about matching our spending on Defence with consciously planned peace projects we may be progressing as a human species. Sadly we humans all too often err towards our own fears and they keep us victims of a redundant mindset for the new age that is now upon us.If we could only rise above our own limitations and invite the participation of the likes of China, Russia, Ukraine and America along with the rest of the world into a consciously creative peace project. I’m serious.A new sort of leadership is needed if we are ever going to survive as a species. The two party system combined with our current societal mindset is now redundant.
A new age is upon us and we need to get with it.Any vision forward worth its salt needs to have at its core a celebration of our common humanity, our own life, and a want to understand ourselves better.Give peace a chance.Regards, Neville Williams
IT'S OUR INNER SPACE THAT NEEDS THE ATTENTION
