I note that many people have been feeling very alone just lately.

This all reminds me of a poem shared with me by a friend 

before his passing.  - Neville ☺︎

                        

"Standing at the chasm's

                          brink

                          If you lean slightly forward

                          just slightly more

                          You will begin to fall

                          into the bottomless

                          inevitable pit

                          Then with fear

                           forgotten

Dear Editor,

IF WE’RE “OUTSIDE THE TENT” THEN GOOD

If we’re “outside the tent” with America then good.  (“Down under and out” Telegraph Front Page June 24)

It may come as a surprise to some but there are many here in Australia who feel that with the current values America barks “outside the tent” just may be the right place to be.

We need to better learn to stand on our own two feet in Australia and make better decisions for our own well being.

America by its vote has re-defined the meaning of the word “friend” to suit themselves. No surprise there surely?

Where is our own initiated overarching vision and the shared responsibility to move us into our own chosen future?

Jim Chalmers is the man to follow and support. 

He is a good mirror of the decent fair minded Australian that we mostly used to be.
