- A COUNTRY OF DUMMIES ZOMBIES
A SHOUT OUT TO OUR TEACHERS...
... & ZOMBIELAND
'NAPLAN' test results (a measure of how well our schools students are learning in Australia) are being assessed presently and the emerging results are not all that good.
To be blunt the nation's youth are becoming dumber. That’s a direct thing to say but facing up to a truth is the first step in fixing any problem. Sometimes we need to be hit between the eyes to wake us up.
I actually feel sorry for teachers of any persuasion because we are not listening to those who have something worth listening to. This behavioural pattern is only passed on from adults to children. Teachers have to face this on a daily basis - poor souls - fractious, unfocussed, noisy energy. It is sickening. You can usually pick a school teacher because they have a world worn look on their faces. That is unacceptable and disrespectful.
Truly I’ve had enough myself of people who won’t or even can’t listen. Heads full of rubbish from no matter where it's been gathered. We currently have a world society drunk on distraction. I’m getting to a point where I’m cutting out the stupidly deaf from my contact.
Well might the Federal Government ban websites like Facebook, 'X' and YouTube for the under sixteens. You can hear the wailing now.
I have rights. These are my freedoms.
We are becoming in our own eyes little fly specks of worthlessness. If you can’t hear the alarm bells ringing then you are not listening.
We are going to be shaped by our world because we (on an across the board level) don’t have the necessary discipline to do it for ourselves.
Just like noisy fractious children.
Participation in the social media forums is something like overdosing on sugar. In moderation they are fine if regarded as “fairy floss”. But in excess dangerous to the well being of the individual, the country…or the world.
Just one person out of synch not functioning as a self aware human can cause so much heartache. Only a week or so back I was caught up in the horrible event of a person throwing themselves under a train at Kingsgrove Station here in Sydney. Firstly a tragedy for the victim, then the train driver (no wonder the NSW Government increased payment recently for the removal of dead animals from our rail lines) then the family/friends of the victim and finally for the whole community. The rail line and surrounding network was put out of synch for the whole day. It certainly considerably inconvenienced my day (too long to go into here).
I was told later that on the very same day another person did the same thing at Macdonaldtown Station.
It would be no surprise to hear that suicides are on the increase. That’s what happens when we don’t know our own foundation. Life ain't worth living. When we don’t know how to listen to our deeper selves we get lost inside ourselves.
We are setting ourselves up to becoming a nation of disconnected “dummies” (or “zombies” might be a better descriptive).
Listening involves stopping, focussing, opening yourself and letting something into your being. And then processing it. There is a course of actions required. If this is so obvious then why aren't we doing it? In these times too often people are BARFING at each other - not communicating.
This is Zombie stuff.
Learn to listen to those who know.
It is also up to YOO to discern who that should be.
Isn't it all called self responsibility? - Neville ☺︎
FOOTNOTE
My goodness I couldn't help but notice the incredible co-incidence that the victim of the zombie attack in the stock GIF (blog pic above) looks so much like Jim Chalmers (recognised as a leader in my previous blog). Us humans have a proven historical track record of zombie like attack to those who can actually make a contribution to the greater well being. Do we want to devolve into pack zombies or do enough have the humility to listen to those who know what they are talking about? And around Jim Chalmers that is all about fairness.
