A RARE EARTHS SCULPTURE
Title: “Afternoon of a Faun” (after Nijinsky) 2021 / Artist: Neville Williams.
©️Arts Law Australia / Model: Charles
A rare earths sculpture.
We humans suddenly seem to be all precious about rare earth minerals?
Apparently AI needs rare earth minerals in its manufacture including
Gallium, Germanium, Samarium, Gadolinium, Terbium,
Dysprosium, Lutetium, Scandium and Yttrium .
This sculpture is made from our precious earth
and it practically glows in the dark with value.
But this has nothing to do with any rare earth minerals that it might contain.
It is made with an artist's RI: Real Intelligence fuelled
by a most priceless ingredient: LOVE.
LOVE is the essential ingredient to anything of real value.
Far, far more valuable than rare earth minerals or any of the diamonds
lifted from the Louvre recently.
Humans have gotten ourselves all mixed up on where the real value is sourced.

(“Harmony not hysteria was unexpected result for PM” Herald News Oct 22)
To their credit the Chinese are long term planners. We in the West tend to stick a band aid on things and fly by the seat of our pants. We need to learn how to plan better and we might avoid many of the messes many of our existing systems now find themselves. eg health (moribund*) and the telcos (second rate)Sometimes we in the West run around like a bunch of hyperactive school kids tiring ourselves out but getting nowhere. The recent meeting between our PM and the US President was a fine example of fairy floss made to look meaningful.Get real. Western values are just as likely to change their minds tomorrow. We all need to grow up.We are all over the place whereas the Chinese focus on direction accompanied by the appropriate discipline that goes with it.I once heard a wonderful line of profundity.
“Proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance.”

ADDENDUM
Australia is a lucky country when it comes to rare earth minerals but that is no excuse to take this for granted. There is always the need for better planning and management of our God/Nature's gifted resources. You don't get anything without the need for acceptance of the responsibility that goes with it. Neville
