Stranger to myself... No one else.
WHAT IS IN THE WAY?
It was a sunny spring day ideal, while sitting alfresco and sipping a latte, to reflect on the many good fortunes of life.
Then a young man in his teens or early twenties walked by.
And he was singing. “Stranger to myself… no one else.” And that said it all.
His demeanour was dark buried inside a black hoodie and hidden behind sunglasses.
He was alone and looked to be lonely within himself.
Whatever circumstances had brought him to this point in his life the sum didn’t add up to welcoming the day. He walked past in one direction singing loudly his song-line and a few minutes later he came back singing the same line.
Just maybe that young man is taking the first step towards himself by acknowledging the truth of his situation?
You have to know you are lost to be able to find yourself.
We are party to a world full of know alls presently. And it’s not a happy party.
No matter how much anyone may endeavour to help someone who is unaware they are lost it’s like trying to fill a black hole. It can’t be made into anything solid.
Knowing that you need help involves a certain understanding within inside a person.
And ultimately any input towards self understanding involves acceptance of the responsibility to want to change within the same individual.
Too muchie we find ourselves in a sorry world where the lost are looking to blame anyone or anything other than themselves for what is blindly a situation all too often manufactured by peoples own disconnection from themselves.
So what is in the way?
Our own ignorance of the beauty within inside ourselves.
To re-coin an old phrase.
Seek knowingly if you want to find. Neville
