HEAVEN IS ONLY AN ANGEL AWAY

Recently there was an outbreak to some degree of Media hysteria when a key individual resigned from an AI pioneering company citing that within 10 years AI could destroy us all.
“The Terminator” storyline in real time. Something to be taken seriously.

Nothing surprises now with the depths to which our human blindness, stooopidity and ignorance can plummet.

And it's not the AI that's the root of the problem it's the humans that are creating it and driving it and certain “no problem” profit thinking policy/lawmakers irresponsible 'laissez-faire' attitude about the whole matter.

As a society we are now too much addicted to the idea of “half-baked” as being adequate.
If you’re living with a mediocre or worse a dysfunctional life then the trouble for all of us is that it’s not only your life being impacted as a result. That is where our focus and seeking the accountability for all of the 'second-rate' should be directed. i.e. Us, individually. And who is going to address this if you don't?

But what is driving this need for AI?

Humans have built into our DNA a need to search and discover.
So what are we looking to find so persistently with all of our invention and reinvention?

An empty hole needs to be filled.
Doesn't it come down to a desperate need to find love, attention, recognition, praise, affirmation, validity or whatever word you want to use? Take your pick from the "feel good" dictionary. We may not identify it in this way.
We might say we are trying to help build a better world. If only!
Some might be doing it from the "right" place of an already earned full-fillment.
But watch out for those trying to do it for their Master of the Mind. It invariably all ends up pear shaped.

Those who are at the cutting edge of AI technology are no doubt incredibly intelligent individuals. But wisdom is another thing altogether. They are just as dumb as anyone else if they are working for their own ego. How many want to be “someone” but don’t understand their individual value when it comes to knowing and appreciating themselves without any need to prove they are superheroes or angels walking amongst us.

Too many in our world today are driven by this need for recognition, to be first, to win, to get their way, to be centre stage. And so many have made their mind their Master. A bad choice ultimately. To win and then realise you’ve lost and have taken a whole lot with you is not ground any of us want to stand on.
Far better to lose and realise you’re actually winning by understanding and appreciating your real value to yourself and as a flow on to others. The later understanding would slow down our processes of change to what might be described as the sane, sensible way. A more considered, considerate and wholistic path forward.

It’s an understatement to say that life has so many paradoxes.

And talking about angels and paradoxes just recently by coincidence I have been reminded of four very dark movies where angels featured prominently in the storyline. These angels were anything but angelic. Some of them were amongst the most evil amongst us or alternatively were so unhappy or confused you wondered how they got their wings in the first place?

The AI pioneers no doubt have their legions of loyal acolytes but if there is a real danger of AI getting out of control then the real hero angel is the whistleblower who is speaking out now.

We get caught up on our own set in stone programming, concepts and ideas that have been planted in us. The only measure of the true angels amongst us are those that are genuinely happy not ego driven AI wannabes. The latter mentioned are the 'artificial intelligence' amongst us. Find the real angels and you’ve found a conduit to your own heaven.
And we're not going to find "it" unless we look for it.
This requires digging deeper inside. - Neville Williams

Here's some angel movies where the angels ain't so angelic. ...
"Gabriel", "Legion", "The Prophecy Series", "Constantine".
Then there's the "Weeping Angels" from BBCTV's "Dr. Who">>>
Nasty pieces of work them.
Some more uplifting stories featuring angels include...
“It’s a wonderful life”, "Carousel" ,"Michael”,
“Heaven Can Wait”, “Wings of Desire”.  - N.

was released in 1985 by the British pop duo Eurythmics
