The Journey from Pulcinello to Pierrot.

We want it all now and life takes its own time and walks its own course.

Somewhere in there a bridge needs to be built.

Doing it "my way" as Frank Sinatra sang can get you into all sorts of problems. 

We need to learn to listen to ourselves but in a deeper capacity. 

I've heard it said that in us from day one there is 50% light and 50% shadow.

Being particularly interested with the Italian Commedia dell’Arte in my artworks I sometimes utilise harlequins to express a world view. Each of the harlequins historically and socially is meant to be a reflection of the many different characters 

that are prevalent in all our lives. 

So let's say when we arrive on this planet 

we each get 50% Pulcinello (the shadow) and 50% Pierrot (the light).

Perhaps the challenge in life and even in part the purpose in life 

is to make those two halves whole?

We all know deep down that there are elements about us that can be improved. 

i.e. the darker part of us that we'd rather sweep under the carpet and prefer it didn't exist. 

But it's there like it or not. It comes with the gift of a life.

The good and the bad 50-50.

Where are you on your journey towards Pierrot?

Some are picking up Mr. Punch's (Pulcinello) club presently because they see that it is someone else's fault that they are in pain.

A wise man is quoted as saying... 

"... the world is nothing but the mirror 

that reflects back to us 

what we have first made real in our minds."
