The games that people play (with themselves).

I happened recently to surf onto a YouTube video featuring nine Golden Years of Hollywood movie stars that Johnny "Here's Johnny" Carson (America's Talk Show King) did not like. The word evil was even used to express his feelings about some of them. We've all heard stories about some of these stars and too some of Johnny's inclusions came as a surprise.

I mean why the need for nastiness? Undoubtedly some people get their kicks in life by dominating others. Totally warped if not sick. Clearly even with all their star talent it just doesn't cut it where the good stuff is concerned. So alternatively they need to be filled by sucking the life force out of others. In my youth it used to be described as being a "psychic vampire". Oh they are around alright and not just in celebrity circles.

Many years ago when I was much younger I had a brief relationship with a man who was Dux of his university in Law. He was an intellectually sharp person clearly being able to cogently twist words into the most convincing acts of superiority. He loved playing cat and mouse games to show his superiority. He tried it on with me.

His game with me involved ringing on my landline phone. He knew how long it would take me to get from one part of my home to where the phone was located. So he would let the phone ring a number of times and then just before I picked up he would hang up. He started to make a habit of it, tickled his fancy, until I said to him that if he continued to do this it would affect our relationship. He immediately hung up and never called again. No one was going to get on top of him. He considered himself to be something of an alpha male but actually had little depth of character. I considered him to be a dim wit

About two years later I ran into him in the street and he said that he couldn't get a position in any law firms in Australia. No surprise there. They would immediately see through his arch superiority and give him a big miss. He left Australia eventually only to project his ego somewhere else. I mean who wants that sort of person hanging around?

Some people think because they have the gift of a highly capable intellect or some other talent or ability that they can tap dance their way around anything with their faux sophisticate games.

Let me be blunt please. The intellect will never get you into heaven. Neither will all the money, celebrity or power in the world. You can be Queen or King of the Castle and it still won't benefit you where the good stuff is concerned. It is a different universe entirely. So all the clever dick games in the long run get a person nowhere on a measure of finding "IT".

And all that posturing ego comes down to simply being
the desire or want to feel good inside.
The empty ego thinks it knows while actually knowing nothing. It constantly needs filling but always feels empty. This is the gist of what fuels domestic violence.

My niece's youngster has it all as far as I can see. He has both intelligence and a self aware soul and he's only 4 years of age. He's a mature well rounded kid. He's a kind and caring individual as well as being smart. He was graced though by starting off with genuinely loving parents who gave him a strong foundation. Too many hit the heartless ground of this world unloved and then we wonder why there are all the problems across the planet Janet.

"All you need is love" as the Beatles song goes.
That's a statement of wisdom.
Love is far more precious than diamonds.
And is it really all that hard to find?...
Well it is when you are looking in the wrong place.

Ultimately acts of egotistical superiority are self defeating. People who are too lazy or fearful to dig within themselves and live from a deeper place are making themselves redundant on this planet.

If you know yourself yoo don't need to prove anything to anyone. Most of all to yourself.
The people who know themselves without the crutch of others stand out naturally without needing to dominate the world. If anything the loud and pseudo-superior are demonstrating their own weaknesses or an emptiness that they grasp to fill from others and everything around them. Sad.
