*"DRINK, DRINK, DRINK"

THE GIVE AND TAKE OF IT ALL

We can't survive a system where most everyone is taking something but living under the fantasy that we are too making a "contribution".

Giving and taking are two completely different things.

I mean what is giving and what is taking?

The analogy of a full cup and an empty cup come to mind. I feel that I've been walking round with an empty cup for years now. It seems that I only keep going along my path by drip feed. I'm thirsty but can't seem to have that thirst quenched.

Perhaps I should be grateful even for those drops? It does keep you small. Even if having the fullest of cups would it be used wisely? Some people throw themselves round like they have no tomorrow. In case you hadn't noticed we're in the process of a drought in humanity.
And why give someone a full cup if it's only going to be wasted?

Then, looking at the nightly news it appears that there are those in this world who don't even get the drops. They are totally empty. Not even a single drop in their cup to get them by? They are the ones who are causing the most mischief from the lowliest right through to the highest of leaders. This runs across the entire spectrum of our humanity.

That cup's gonna be filled by some anyway they can fill it.

Fact is we're all beggars. But most are absent of understanding the posture of humility.
We are though such experts at creating the illusion of giving when 100% we are taking.

That's why there is so much upset across the planet.
The nature of all things seeks its own balance.
Those who can hold their drink seem to have their thirst quenched.
And those who can't or won't bend? ...well just look at our world presently. - Neville Williams

*DRINK, DRINK, DRINK..."  Song made famous by Mario Lanza's voice from the film "The Student Prince" (1954)
Actor Edmund Purdom lip synched in the released film as Lanza walked off the movie during production. Poor petal.
Did Mario understand what he was singing about? Perhaps there were too many holes in his cup?
Maybe he needed to listen more to the gist of the message the song contained?

The song itself has some real gusto. The way life should be. So camp! - N.
