🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣⚫️ NEW DIRECTION  Ed. No. 201 - KINDNESS IS THE FUTURE

KINDNESS IS THE FUTURE
(We need to make it so)

A New Australian Flag begins to take form.
Raising the Standard on a Culture of Kindness.
You are looking at the foundation elements towards a New Australia
where it is understood that it takes many individual pieces that are willing and able
to fit together to complete a big picture clarity of a people who know themselves.

It's a subject that I can't help but return to and that is why we can spend billions of dollars on fear motivated AUKUS and Defence spending generally. And there doesn't seem to be any great protest about this...not majorly?

Yet if the politicians were to spend money intentionally on ANY peace building endeavours* there would be a great outcry about wasted expenditure and all the other things we should be spending money on like health and education.

And to a degree people would be right.
What is being said here is don’t we need to be re-programmed
to get our mindsets and values re-sorted?

Of course health and education are peace building initiatives.
We have to be well and informed to be able to keep the peace.

But don't our perceptions and values need attention?

Sadly we are beginning to become fractious and short term in our thinking. We need solutions now to deeper issues that require vision, planning, time and yes money too. The unfortunate thing though is that we’ve run out of patience as a human race (and that's related to health and education ...
... or the lack thereof).

We want it all now.
Bubble burst ALERT.
We can no longer have what we want now. Shock. Horror.
All those expectations we carry round on our shoulders need to be put out with the garbage.
Do you realise how silly we look with all of our demands?

Our disconnection has become palpable. In case you hadn’t noticed the wheels of our system are starting to grind to a halt. Look at how productivity is down.
All productivity really comes down to is the want/drive to participate and contribute.

Observe around you. We are economically rationalising ourselves into a groundhog day 'existence' rather than 'living' our lives. How can we be productive (creative) when our heads are full of distraction/busyness. Too much going on up top. And people wonder why they are so tired? We are burning ourselves out living with the wrong values.

Best advice might be for us all to look in our own mirror and get our own house in order for starters. Are you living in peace inside?

We need to be very careful. We have a Federal Government that is steering cautiously quite rightly so at a time of so much seemingly unharnessed change.

And there's another thing that needs to change.
The immature attitude that it is our Governments (plural) fault when things go awry is just duck shoving the responsibility from ourselves. I know there are those in our community who somehow live in this fantasy that it is our leaders absolute responsibility to sort out our problems for us. That's living in another Age. Reality check needed.
Politicians can't legislate for what we are all driven to seek out in every waking moment in our lives i.e. happiness. It's simply not within their power to be able to do that.

Our leaders cannot and will not provide you with the answers that you seek. Only you can provide the healing solution for YOO. And that's about adopting a certain posture that is foreign to far too many!
A real problem with Governments is that they "think" they can make things better when they actually need to be making it very clear that only we can make things better for ourselves collectively by accepting the challenge of understanding better our own lives. Therein lays a whole world of difference.

I was asked the other day what could substitute Capitalism as our foundational system?
The answer I have heard elsewhere is... kindness!
If that sounds twee I double down on my previous comment…we need to re-sort our headspace from spaced out to grounded. That should be the top of the list on all our conscious priorities. But it isn't. I mean just look at the state of our world.

Where are the peace building initiatives?
Suggestions anyone! (As an example I would class the City of Sydney's proceeding to develop the "Town Hall Square" Project as a peace building exercise.)
We need to be kinder to ourselves and each other.  - Neville Williams

PS And so in the flavour of kindness expressed in this blog I am going to be kind to myself by posting these blog entries once a week rather than bi-weekly. (Maybe too by doing that I am also being kinder on you? Ha!Ha!) Though writing these blogs is something that I do enjoy doing.

But my focus now is to get on with some artworks that need realising.
Each weekly entry will now appear on Sundays.

LOVE YOO- N.

 * Do we contribute fairly in Australia?

Celebrate life!
